On the bright side, look at all that space your saving! |
E-books are the books of the future.
I am afraid we wont have new books to hold and to read
in 10-20 years time.
This is only made more clear with the closing of
Borders Book Store, that has been announced.
I love E-books, but I also love traditional books.
I love feeling the paper, smelling the new binding,
No more excess of trees being cut.
Even Schools one day may issue all the students
iPads in which to hold all the books they will need.
Newspapers will be fully online as well.
As of now you can get your subscription on line
or in E-form. Just not the entire content.
Are you ready for the new age?
Will you abandon reading for pleasure all together?
Or will you join in and get your own Kindle or other E-reader device.
I've had my Kindle for 2 years now and haven't looked back since...e-books are cheaper, better for the environment and so convenient! You can download anywhere, anytime. Also Amazon has done a great job of keeping the Kindle more "book li...ke" with no back lighting, no color and it feels like a book when you are holding it. The only real books I still buy and hope don't go away are children's books...I think every child deserves to turn those pages!S
ReplyDeleteDahlonegah School has an E library. Our 7th and 8th grade students are issued a computer to take home with them. (Mac Book). So far we have 110 titles for the kids to check out. Phyillis
